Card Approvals and Printing

Hello Friends,

Our manufacturer has recently returned from Lunar New Year leave and has resumed work on Requiem! We received digital proofs for all cards just the other day and wanted to share the excitement with you!

In addition, Edmund went through and approved physical copies of the cards! Now we just need an offset set from the printer (and without the cut lines) before we move to full production!

One final note before we leave you.

Board games have always brought people together and transcended borders. We’re heartbroken at the violence and tragedy currently happening to the community in Ukraine. We hope for a peaceful resolution soon. Our thoughts are with all those affected by the conflict.

Our backers in Russia. We want to get this game to you, while ensuring money is not going the government. We will have to wait and see what we can and cannot do at the time of delivery. If we need to, we will hold delivery. If we have to, we will refund. If we can't refund due to banking sanctions we will look into other options. We've heard from several of you and you've expressed your anger over the conflict, please stay safe while doing so.

FourSouls.com Updates

Hello Friends,

While we're patiently waiting for manufacturing to spin back up next week and work out a more complete timeline for delivery, we've been hard at work updating FourSouls.com. We're happy to announce that those updates are now complete.

We've gotten tons of requests from people asking about differences between First Edition and Second Edition cards. Now you can check them out for yourself right on FourSouls.com! When you click on the Cards link, you'll now see a section for Older Versions of the game.

We're another step closer to having a complete archive of every single card ever produced for the game! Check out some of the differences:

You'll also notice a couple of quick access buttons at the bottom of the page. Use these to quickly navigate to specific areas.

And did you notice the Accessibility icon? Now you can choose to turn off the background, switch into high-contrast mode, and change the font type as you like.

One other quick update, The Secret Project is being pushed back to April to ensure the quality of the project is perfect. We were just having this discussion on our Discord Server. While it's always a bummer when something is pushed back, we'd rather ensure quality over speed and a quick buck. Stay tuned, we'll announce the project as soon as it's ready!

We’re right in the middle of Lunar New Year, so it’s a quiet month for Requiem updates, but if you follow Edmund’s Twitter or read our last update you know that something new is just around the corner. While we’re not quite ready to share what that is yet, we've got a couple of spoilers just to whet your appetite:

Backerkit Lock Down Imminent (UPDATE)

Hello friends,

Quick reminder up front. The Backerkit store is closing at MIDNIGHT PST on February 1st, that's 08:00 February 2nd UTC. If you’d like to make any additional add-ons, now is the time to do that! If you’d like to know how, please read the previous update.

On February 1st Lunar New Years starts and on February 3rd The Winter Olympics starts. These combined events mean that our manufacturer will be taking the month of February off. These are both important cultural events for our partners and we’re thrilled that they’ll be able to celebrate, but it also means February is going to be a very quiet month on the Requiem front. But it’s also going to be a HUGE month for Binding of Isaac fans!
Edmund McMillen and Maestro Media are launching something new very soon.

Other Questions Not Answered In Previous Update

Do Pre-orders include Kickstarter exclusives (Warp Zone Cards, Alt Art Cards, Gold Box Cards, etc)?

All of those were Kickstarter exclusives and are not available in the Pre-order Store. We apologize if this wasn't more clear, and we wanted to make sure this answer came out to everyone before that February 1 cutoff so you have time to reach out if needed.

Is the Guardian Isaac Tier or Tapeworm Pink Box available for pre-order?

Much like the Warp Zones, those two items are Kickstarter exclusives and are not available in the pre-order store.

I ordered two different pre-orders or a Kickstarter pledge and a pre-order:

You are welcome to do separate orders like that, just be aware that shipping will be more and separate orders are not guaranteed to ship together. If you'd like to combine orders please reach out to us at [email protected] and we can assist you with combining orders into one. If you used multiple email addresses, please include any used in the email.

Backerkit Add-Ons Locking February 1st (UPDATE)

Hello Friends,

Wow, we've received an incredible amount of emails from people over the past few days. We're working diligently through them, but we are behind. Don't worry we will have answered all messages before the February 1st deadline. We're sending this out to help answer repeated questions, so if you've not received an email back from [email protected] yet, please read on, this might answer your question.

I want to add-on more stuff!:

Absolutely, email [email protected], we'll get that added for you as soon as we can. There is a slight delay in responses currently. You can help us out by doing the following

• Email [email protected] 
• Tell them what items you’d like to add to your pledge. If you can’t remember what all you’d like to add, you can check out the pre-order store, it will have everything except The Tainted Isaac Figure, the Guardian Angel Tier add-on, the Everything but the Sketch tier add-on, and Tapeworm Pink Box.
•  Give them permission to immediately charge your card so you have your items locked in.

If you’ve already done this, thank you for your patience.

I need to change my address:

Don't worry! You can still change/update your address after February 1st. You will receive an email from Backerkit before we have to lock addresses in. If you'd still like to change your address now, no worries, you don't even have to email anyone! Follow these steps:

Open your Backerkit Account, if you no longer have your Backerkit link, or it's expired, you can get a new one HERE. Just type in the email address you used to back the game (the same one you use to log in to Kickstarter). You'll receive a link in your email.

In Backerkit, on a desktop, you'll see Edit Your Address in the top right corner. Click on that, and then Edit Shipping Info. On mobile, you'll see a shipping info drop down, click on that and then click on Edit Shipping Info.

I used an email relay such as Apple Relay:

You will not have received any emails from Backerkit or Kickstarter, so hopefully you found this answer because you check the updates page. You'll need to email [email protected] and let us know a different email address we can use to get you your link to Backerkit.

I would like to change my pledge level:

The Maestro Team cannot do that anymore. Backerkit can until February 1st. Use this link: https://boirequiem.backerkit.com/faq#contact-us. On the dropdown select: I need to change my pledge level, how do I do this? Ignore the stock answer as it's no longer valid. In the tell us your question here box type in what you'd like to change your pledge level to. Something like this example:

"Hello great and powerful Backerkit, though not as great nor as powerful as Edmund and Maestro Media. I would like to change my pledge level from The Full Collection Tier to the Angel Isaac Tier. My pledge is found under (insert your email here)."

I never got a link to my Backerkit:

You can go HERE to retrieve your link. Just type in the email address you used to back the game (the same one you use to log in to Kickstarter). You'll receive a link in your email, please check your SPAM folders. If you used a relay like Apple Relay please see the question above.

I might want to change my language:

Don't worry, you can still do that after February 1st. Once we have the cards translated we will show examples and give a deadline for when any language swaps will need to happen.

Things have changed and I need a refund:

Please email [email protected]. Just be patient, we realize that in some situations every penny helps, and we're moving through messages as quickly as possible.

I didn't back the game but I want to pre-order:

You have until February 1st to do so, after that the pre-order store will close. We hope to be able to open it again, but we've had overwhelming demand and there's a limit to how much we can manufacture. We'll keep everyone updated if we can do more later.

I messaged the project creator and they haven't responded:
